covers myriad different methods to resolve your case without going to court.  The term includes mediation, arbitration and settlement conferences before a settlement conference judge.  Informal dispute resolution is generally simply negotiating with your opponent to reach a settlement that gives each party enough of what they need to walk away from litigation.
